Subaru CVT oil change made simple.....

Lolol. Id have to agree on the drive. Its somehow even less sporty than a conventional Automatic. In terms of smoothness theyre nice....comfortable to drive...but just not a sexy transmission.

    Anyone have info on Recochem?

Thanks GreasyMechTech For what its worth, the subaru feels....crisp with it full of the fluid. Its hard to describe, but for a CVT, the throttle response feels nice, and shifting to drive / reverse/ nutral is smooth as well. Feels as good or better than the Original fluid did with 50k...

    Anyone have info on Recochem?

It meets the same Specs, and they seem to really aim at a manufacturers spec when formulating. There coolant is a prime example with their colorcoding. Very consumer friendly products. Customer service was helpful....he actually called their rep for application help when I asked.

MV CVTF for 2015 Subaru Outback?

This is interesting. It doesn't seem like much changed in the modern 580 CVT https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Subaru_transmissions#Subaru_Lineartronic_CVT_TR690_and_TR580
