BMW no longer uses dipsticks; Audi still has them, so extraction works.

B58 TU2 and some Pennzoil Euro L 5W-30, plus a Mann filter, and the B58 will rip effortlessly all day long in the mountains. What a satisfying engine...

Scored 4 Mobil 1(s) today at Walmart. With my $10 per jug from the current Mobil 1 special, these were only $17.97. My $40 Mobil 1 gift card will go toward a single malt scotch for the 4th. Thanks Mobil 1...(I do like Valvoline XL-III however).

When I got my B58, I drained out the 0W20 after break-in and used Mobil 1 ESP 5W30. Currently running Motul X-Clean+EFE in 0W30, the engine sounds better to me on the 30wt. oils. Next oil will be Mobil 1 ESP 0W30, yummy!

@tired: This Castrol EDGE Euro 0w30? It has LL on the front, for BMW LL04 approval. The other one is B3/B4 or BMW LL01.
