How often do you change the airfilter??

One time per year or 15,000 miles, I do drive on some dirt roads, everyone talks about how dirty a filter looks I believe moisture and humidity effect the filter material and I would change it once of year regardless of the area you live in or vehicle you drive, air filters are not that...

    Valvoline Price Increase

I have often thought of using Valvoline, many friends and family use it, many dealerships and garages in the area use it, however I always wonder if I would just be paying to support an advertising budget, you have to admit they have great advertising.

    Napa Pro Select cut up

Very Nice Filter, buy some more at that price, however it is not made by WIX, my guess it is made by Hastings/Baldwin, the clues are the aluminum center core and by pass valve construction.

    Ford escape 2009 oil

I think your plan to use M1 5W 30 oil and a Motorcraft oil filter is a very good choice, I would not take others advice to switch between Synthetic and Dino, how much did you pay for a new vehicle? for this reason use a good filter and oil at all times and be consistent.

better deal ? Mobil 5000 or Valvoline wb premium

Pep Boys > Based on the oil filter not the oil {both oils are of high quality} I like the quality of the Purolator oil filter over the STP oil filter.

What is the SHELF-LIFE of an OIL FILTER? ?

Wix told me five years the their filter, I personally would not purchase more then two years worth of filters for the Corolla, you do not know how old they are when delivered or if you will own the car years later, two years is a nice savings and not much of a risk.
