motorcycle tires vs scooter tires. ???

A scooter tire doesn't need to "stick" as much in a high speed turn. Don't compromise on your tires! Your life is riding on them.

The new Indians revealed last night

If you mean the Victorys, I sure don't recall anything entry level about their pricing. I looked at them a couple years ago when I was in the market for a new bike and I remember thinking they were priced about the same as a comparable Harley. The previous Indians were just to expensive for the...

Best Way to Clean Interior Carpet

As a teenager I detailed cars for a dealer that sold classics at the local Kruse Auction (now Auctions America) over in Auburn, IN. We used Simple Green and hot water and a wheel brush. Used a shop vac to suck the moisture up and then rubbed it out with a towel. Did a good job and I like the...

Did i find an alternative additive?

First off let me say that tho I haven't been here long, I enjoy this site, as I'm very anal about the oil I run in my vehicles. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this. This past weekend me and a couple friends went to a speed shop where one friend bought a bottle of ZDDP additive (at my advice)...

    redline 20 50

It's for a Harley. I kind of figured the wet clutch compatibility would be the main difference. I looked at RL's tech sheets and the V-twin had values listed for zinc, phosphorus and moly levels where the other did not. It also had a bit higher flashpoint. There was a $3 difference. Maybe I...

    redline 20 50

I tried. They must not be in on Saturday. I went with the V-twin. Looks like a lil higher flash point, clutch compatibility and $3 price increase was the only noticeable difference, but it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling because it said V-twin on the label. Lol

    redline 20 50

Can anyone tell me the difference between the V-twin 20-50 and the auto 20-50 synthetic other than being wet clutch compatible? ...and are they compatible?

1999 Yamaha Road Star 1600 oil recommendation?

I ran Mobil 1 V-twin in my Roadstar 1700 and after 50k miles, she still ran like day one. It's a good choice. I ran the Mobile filter also. A word of advice. Keep your steering stem bearings greased. Yamaha used white lithium in there and it'll wash out and the bearings'll go to hel. I installed...

    ATF in a Harley chaincase

After so many suggested Rotella, here and elsewhere, I went with that. Adjusted the clutch while I was in there. I can feel a definite improvement in clutch and shifter feel. Even better, I can get it across the road from me for less than 4 bucks. Thanks guys.

    ATF in a Harley chaincase

I'm not sure I understand, aren't automatic trans made of wet clutch packs? Harley aftermarket clutch makers recommend ATF.
