I tried all the major transmission and drive train shops in Calgary. Nobody has it.
Some of them are so clueless that they said all bearings are C3 (which is patently incorrect).
Emailed bmw and skf, no luck.
At this point it's be great to at least just understand the naming...
Yes cirplip is used and is needed.
I found thus bearing, very similar
https://www.qualitybearingsonline.com/6011-nr-skf-deep-groove-bearing-55-x-90-x-18mm/
NR stands for circlip groove with circlip included. N would be just a groove, no circlip.
But I'm also wondering if my bearing...
I'm surprised nobody mentioned anaerobic gasket maker.
That stuff is eally good for applications if surfaces are even, with no big gaps.
It cures when in contact with the metal, doesn't need air to cure.
Rebuilding a transfer case.
Seems this bearing doesn't exist anymore?
Contacted SKF and multiple bearing sellers, nobody really has a clue and I can tell that by seeing how they suggest I buy an improper bearing.
Even with my limited knowledge I can tell they're suggesting something that's...
I asked them a follow-up question:
"Even my old strut that I replaced would extend in under 2 minutes, and I know for a fact that the old struts are finished, they've never been replaced. Even after changing only one of the struts I noticed a big difference in driving the car.
Could you please...
I don't know if it's hard to access on your car, I cleaned mine on Chrysler Cirrus 2000. You can just remove the air tubing and see if it's dirty and sticky. If not, I see no point. Mine was pretty clean with 250k kilometers and I "cleaned" it but saw 0 difference.

I didn't want to cheap out, I bought what I found the most expensive on RockAuto. Except Sensa-Trac there were only two other options for front struts: KYB and SACHS. They were a few dollars less expensive. I did a few google searches and Sensa-Tracs had good reviews.
I got burned...
I also asked Mornoe Technical Support and I'm quite confused by their answer:
"Oleg,
Thank you for contacting Tenneco Automotive. As long as the unit fully extends in under 2 minutes the shock is not defective."
Even my old strut that I replaced would extend in under 2 minutes, and I know for...
I've been reading this forum a lot about oil and people seem pretty knowledgeable.
I don't know if there's a forum like this on struts so I decided to register and try my luck here.
I ordered two struts for my car, chrysler cirrus 2000, 2.4l.
Last Friday I went to see a mechanic to install them...
