Looking to buy a Sport Sedan/Hot Hatch. Input?

Hard to beat the Ford ST. My only complaint is they don't offer the 2 door version here and you can't get HID headlights without leather seats. The Recaro's are excellent, imo. The ST offers low maintenance costs with quality that is at least as good as it's competition with German safety (it's...

Need some input on these three cars.

They are all good but the Camaro has terrible visibility. Pick the one you are most comfortable in.

Discount Fleet Supply; anyone use them?

Considering purchasing WIX 51315XP oil filters from these guys at $7.63 each in a package of 6. O'Reilly is almost $11 each. It appears that Discount Fleet Supply does not charge shipping or tax. Comments?

    My Oil: Hank Hill style.

Is there any significance to driving a 95 Taurus and Hank Hill?

    Royal Purple M2-820, 5700 miles

Are there any material or design differences (besides purple parts) between the Mobil 1 and RP filters? RP's seem to me to be the most expensive aftermarket brand.

    Smart filter

There are likely European websites that cater to that car. The biggest gain in performance would be from improving the way the transmission performs. I would try to see if anyone has figured out ways of making it work better.

Any other besides Fram Ultra include this?

From the replies Ive seen above to my original post it appears that some people on this site trust their brains to store lots of useless data rather than write it down. Maybe that explains why virtually every great invention or discovery originated on a napkin, chalkboard, piece of paper...

    2014 Acura RLX Suspension Walkaround

It's not a bad car, but due to the competition it will sell as poorly as it's predecessor. When I was selling Acura, there was virtually no interest in the RL. Lease it new but don't buy it unless it is used, off of lease.

Any other besides Fram Ultra include this?

If a car doesn't have a current sticker on it, then I assume the owner doesn't give a [censored] about maintenance. I work at a dealer and I can barely get stickers there! It's just like better filters are in sealed boxes now so people can't swap them into cheap filter boxes; both are needed...

Any other besides Fram Ultra include this?

Will keep that in mind if I run out of them. But when you pay for a premium filter they should include one regardless.

Any other besides Fram Ultra include this?

Just bought a Fram Ultra oil filter from Wal Mart that actually comes with a oil service sticker inside the box. Haven't seen this with any oil filter in a LONG time. Hello K and N, Mobil and other premium filter brands! Start doing this now please!

    GAUGE hazing

If the lenses on the gauges are removable from the dash or gauges, take them to a good plastic supply store and have them cut out new ones, using the old ones as templates. Of course, if the lenses are not made of flat material, your going to have a much more expensive project. I would look for...

I LOVE having the Fumoto oil change valve.

Ive used the Fumoto valves for over 20 years; no leaks, no stripped or rounded drain plugs, no looking for a socket wrench to fit drain plugs, no over tightened drain plugs to wrestle with, no damaged or stripped oil pans and never even the slightest accidental opening!

    Toyota oil filters

When a cartridge filter is the oem filter reboxed, it likely will cost more. Otherwise it shouldnt. Ive seen some that are better simply by looking at the quantity of filter pleats and how straight they are. I think K and N and Purolator's higher line are best, if available for your application.
