I was reading RAT 540 oil review and came across his testing of Valvoline Maxlife ATF claiming it is pure junk. I personally have used Maxlife ATF for years and it appears on this site to be well liked. Not sure how RAT 540 says it is so bad.

You are correct. I explained that in my post. I would love to know if that oil helped it survive with only 5 oz. or would it have failed with something of lesser quality.
I share this as a testimony to Honda engine durability and my stupidity. I have a Honda EU3000 since new with 500 hrs,. I always used Mobil 1 0W40 changed every 100 hrs. Recently on a camping trip powering my RV, the generator kept shutting off on the low oil switch. Just prior to the trip I...
Thank you for the clarification. Seeming you are knowledgeable, how important is the 60 k mile plug change? Seems like Toyota recommends it to ensure emission compliance.
My 2017 Lexus rx350 3.5l calls for a 60 k spark plug replacement. The OE plugs are Denso Iridium. I will be going to at least 100 k on the plugs disregarding the interval. I believe the 60k is to meet some emission nonsense
Well I thought I would give an update 4 years later. To all the naysayers that insisted on fixing it, been using a 10w40 with positive results. The engine runs great and the oil leaks less. A win for 10w40. It also starts just fine in the cold.
I have a 2015 tundra with a 5.7l and 35k miles. My last change was RGT 0w20 and 5k miles later I had to add a quart. My next change I might switch to a 0w30 or a 5w30.
I know this is an older post but this what I used. I have a 2006 Doosan solar75v with 3000 hrs. I installed traveller UTF premium fluid after talking with the lubricant manufacturer. Tank change was 25 gallon. Total system is 40 gallon. The manufacturer stated I would be better off since the UTF...
I am looking to use this product https://barsleaks.com/product/hydraulic-seal-h60/ in my 2006 excavator that has around 3000 hours. I don't believe the snake oil hype (please don't suggest that) with all the advancements in chemical technology. Any experience with this product in hydraulic...
