    Redline D6 with Lubegard Red

Out of curiosity, have you always used D6 ATF when servicing?

When to do first ATF drain/fill?

There is a SAE paper somewhere on here that found that most of the wear metals a transmission produces occurs within the first 12k miles of its life. Sorry, I don’t have it saved anywhere, or else I’d post it. The fluid is still good, I’m sure, but I’d still do a drain and fill. Just so get some...

Tell me why not to buy a 2025 Nissan Altima

The 2.5L engine is not a variable compression engine. The 2025 Altima does not come with that engine option. The 2.5L engine is a decent engine. Not great at any one thing, but it's decent enough.

Air India Flight AI171 (Boeing 787-8) Crash

Completely agree. The video is a bit too grainy to say conclusively, but it looks like the flaps were retracted. Add to that the gear being down, it being near capacity with a full fuel load and it wouldn’t be surprising at all that it couldn’t gain altitude.

2017 Hyundai Elantra 2.0 Gasoline (Imported from USA to Europe) – Help Needed Choosing Automatic Transmission Fluid

Just depends on if you’ll be able to perform a level check. It’s not hard, but you’ll need to have the car level to do so. Otherwise, just replace what came out.

2017 Hyundai Elantra 2.0 Gasoline (Imported from USA to Europe) – Help Needed Choosing Automatic Transmission Fluid

Hyundai’s in-house 6 speed auto is not particularly sensitive to specific fluids. Many people have used various brands with no detrimental impacts to longevity or shift quality. I’ve used OEM ATF as Amsoil ATF. Both worked well. Maxlife is a good fluid that will also work well. I’d be more...

    Car Loan Funding

It could be a number of things, but with 50% down payment, I think it's safe to rule them out and take the "Occam's Razor" approach. You're likely dealing with incompetence at the dealership. If you like the car and the deal, just wait it out and keep hounding the dealership. Don't call your...

    3 Row Reliability

I love minivans and would always recommend them unless ride height is of vital importance. They just do everything well. Generally more cargo room than a large SUV, definitely so if you remove the 2nd row. Can haul more people in more comfort. Usually get better gas mileage. They're just...

    South Korean 737-800 Crash

Unfortunately, I don't really know. Everywhere I have seen has said the weather was darn near perfect. My guess is that it is just a mistake- perhaps they inadvertently added "weather" and meant to say "attempted another landing in adverse conditions", or something along those lines.

    South Korean 737-800 Crash

https://avherald.com/h?article=52225189&opt=0 According to this, it was 3 minutes between the Mayday and Go-Around call to touchdown. Seems awfully fast, especially for landing on an unplanned runway. Still don’t want to draw too many conclusions, but the official report will be an interesting...

    South Korean 737-800 Crash

You’re not wrong, I was just quoting the checklist. It’s not desired to use spoilers or TR during belly landings because you essentially have no yaw control and the use of those items can impact the orientation of the aircraft, potentially leading it off the runway. This accident is a weird...

    South Korean 737-800 Crash

So for each of the three questions/comments: First- the 737NG has 3 hydraulic systems: A, B, and standby. Both A and B have an engine driven pump (A driven by ENG 1 and B by ENG 2) and an electrical pump. Both A and B can provide power to all flight controls, however, only A powers the...

    Goodyear WeatherReady 2 Tires?

Well, I can't tell you too much about their performance in the snow, as it only snowed a few times while I had them and I didn't need to leave the house much. However, they were terrific in the rain.

    Goodyear WeatherReady 2 Tires?

I also had the Assurance Weatherready tires for about 5 years and 45k-ish miles. They were great tires, but started to get really loud as they wore. Really loud. However, I don't know how similar those would be to this new iteration.

    2019 Honda Pilot

I believe it should return to normal function once a tire with a calibrated TPMS is installed in place of the spare, but that's just a hunch.
