    Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30, 2.9k mi; 2022 Toyota Tundra

I’ve been interested in trying ESP and figured I might as well start trending it in my engine to see how it will perform. I can’t say that I’ve looked for Mobil Super. I have considered trying Valvoline EP in 5W-30 as well. Thank you! Hopefully the new engine lasts and has any bugs worked out...

    Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30, 2.9k mi; 2022 Toyota Tundra

Here’s the second oil change on the new engine from my Tundra. Total vehicle mileage was 36,102 miles. It looks like break-in is going well, silicon definitely had a large drop on this change. Thanks for taking a look and any thoughts are welcome!

post your latest transmission lubricant change.

2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 w/6L80. Just completed the 2nd drain & fill using my Mityvac. I did one a week ago with AC Delco Dex-VI. This D&F I used one quart of the Delco fluid I had left and 4 quarts of Valvoline Dex-VI. I’m almost certain these were the first fluid changes that my company...

That’s a fair point. I am glad that Toyota is making it right and opted for a complete long block swap. Who knows if the old engine would have had issues but it was running fine when I took it in.

Toyota TGMO 0W-20 FF, 795 Miles, 2022 Toyota Tundra

Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 replaced this FF. I’ll see how it trends but I was planning on 5k OCI’s with ESP. Then again the bug to try something else might get me at some point 😄

Toyota TGMO 0W-20 FF, 795 Miles, 2022 Toyota Tundra

That could be on the moly levels, these blocks shipped from the factory with oil so who knows when the oil was produced but I was happy to see it. This replacement was for the recall, and the old engine was running fine/hadn’t displayed any signs of issues beforehand. I debated back and forth on...

Toyota TGMO 0W-20 FF, 795 Miles, 2022 Toyota Tundra

Hey all, this UOA was the factory fill w/795 miles from a new long block installed in my Tundra earlier this month. I thought I had read that TGMO had reduced the moly content, but at least this sample still had high levels which was surprising/nice to see.

    Toyota 90915-10010 C&P

I have the cartridge/element wrapped in paper towels to dry out and can post that once I get it cut. As far as the recall and Toyota I’m cautiously optimistic and happy that Toyota is addressing the issue. Hopefully they’ll expand the recall to cover the folks that have the iForce Max/hybrid...

    Toyota 90915-10010 C&P

Murky, thanks for comment! They are still made by Denso, but I believe a couple different origins. The 10010 is made in Japan. I’m not sure what I think of the cartridge in a can style but overall it seems to be a quality filter and I like the fact that it has a silicone anti-drain back valve...
