Video - Car Tire on Bike

Titan, just feather your throttle, or apply a tiny bit of back break - that'll keep your front end down. I'm not in a hurry to try this on my bike - until I'm convinced it's safe, I have a hard time just "trying it out". Then again - way back when motorcycles first came out, there wasn't much...

Don't know about nationally, but our local Kragen autoparts has this Shell V-Power for free after $5 rebate.

    B50 Particle Count Results!

Perhaps it's one of those "It CAN filter out 2um, but it MOSTLY filters down to Xum" kind of things. I've seen 2 ratings for filtering. I presume them to be "Takes SOME particles out at Xum, and takes all particles out at Yum"

Best compact-midsize diesel cars available in US?

Pro's of owning a diesel: * SLIGHTLY better gas mileage * Reliability (of engine only) Con's of owning a diesel: * Diesel is more expensive than gas, and therefore you're only marginally saving $$$ at the pump. * Diesel cars don't have much power (especially VW's) * Only new diesel cars are VW...

    the best V-6 engines ever?

First of all - It depends on what you mean by "best". Best "all around", best economy, best for an engine swap, best power... be more specific. For example - GM 3.8 and Nissan's V6 are probably the best "all around" of all time. Nissan's V6 is the ONLY engine on Ward's top 10 list every single...

Need help choosing a new(er) car...

Of the ones you listed - go with the Volvo. It's structural and mechanical reliability is the best of that group, will get you good gas mileage, and save you $$$ on insurance. Of you're INSISTING on RWD, I think you may push yourself to the domestic car market. This will KILL you in the long...

    The Powerful Japanese V6

It's not THAT much slower than a modern Corvette, and with the optional all-wheel-drive, it'll probably be comparable (if not better handling) in the twisties. It will DEFINITELY be fore comfortable to drive while maintaining sporty characteristics. And... it won't have as good of resale value...

SCION XB is now on lots >

The 2.4L scion engine is notorious for getting poor gas mileage... it's the only complaint Tc owners seem to have about their cars. Expect low 20's in the boxy xB.

    The Powerful Japanese V6

First of all, you're making an awful lot of #@$%!-poor assumptions about someone owning a Lexus. Are there SOME Lexus owners that are over-extended on their credit? Sure. It seems to me that a Lexus IS series is a FAR more sensible choice given it's pedigree, longevity and extreme value. You're...

    ARCO Fuels

Durango I've been very happy with it in my celica. I get the larger bottle (I think 64 oz?), but I keep the smaller bottle in my car. It's indexed with a sharpie at the 2 oz and 4 oz. I use 2 oz per fillup (about 11 gal). I use it in my Kawasaki... but I have not done a comparison to see if...

'95 Accord (or similar) opinions/info please

I'd still get a yota over a honda in that year range. Mid-90's honda accords were buggy.

mileage vs. age in used cars

If you're only going to take the car to the low 100k's... who cares. Even Kia's will go that long. Pre-Ford-Owned Volvo's are awesome. All others are #@$%! for longevity past 100k miles.

    B50 Particle Count Results!

I can't imagine a $7 filter goes down to 2um. I wish manufacturers in a technical field would provide tech specs on their web sites *sigh*

    ARCO Fuels

ARCO here is $0.10 to $0.15 cheaper a gallon. It's all I use. It's all the guy used who owned the Celica before me, and it's approaching 250k miles. All we use is 87 octane. I've used LUCL for about 20k miles. We both change the oil ever 3k-5k miles and think that's what's kept it alive for so long.

A New, Reasonable $ Vehicle for The Family>HELP!

I'm pretty sure it's the ES330 these days (and, it's been my favorite car I've ever owned). Interesting you mentioned leg room. My 6'2 friend was driving his with the seat back (and comfortable) while my 6'4 friend was behind him... and still had PLENTY of room between his knees and the front...
