I referenced SLLC (pink). Toyo LLC is the red. SLLC is approved/recommended as the replacement for LLC. Zerex Asian is the non-Toyo option for SLLC so it works well...

Sounds like a good plan. Toyo SLLC or Zerex Asian is the way to go...

Napa's have Zerex Asian Formula. That would be a good match. Toyota's of the vintage came with LLC (red) or SLLC (pink and pre-mixed). SLLC is the later variant and will work where LLC was OE. The Zerex Asian is a great alternative to the Toyota anti-freeze. FYI- LLC stand for Long-Life Coolant...

SlipperyPete & Errtt are on to something with the air filter IMHO. Unless you make servicing your K&N air filter your obsession they tend to let a little more through than a stock filter. 1GR-FE's seem to puke iron compared with other similar design engines. Your Fe seems a little bit high even...

I'm torn... Beginning a couple of years ago the standards toughened up a good bit. I expect it really will deliver those numbers and considering how heavy trucks are combined with terrible aerodynamics it's not that bad. Until they start using small diesels (not the 600ft/lb+ monsters) it is...

I agree... I'm just not sure who the idiots are. To me it could be them, us or a combo. Our oil independence status has got to change if we're going to make it.

The Rotella, M1 0w-40 or possibly the new M1 5w-40 was the conclusion I came to as well. I found some Castrol 5w-40 for cheap and that's what's in it now; seems fine with no difference in MPG noted yet. I have no intention of running that past 5k-6k. The bottomline to me is the report looks good...

This run was used in conjunction with a Baldwin B253. (Pics of that cut open in the "filers" section soon.) FWIW- My 4Runner loves this oil. By conventional wisdom xw-40 is too thick but runs quieter and better than ever! There's no appreciable/measurable decrease in MPG compared with MC 5w-20...

Another thing you MAY notice is a slight delay in building oil pressure especially on the first start of the day.

I prefer the higher quality rotors. In my estimation the time to warp the cheap ones is more like 0.00001 seconds, just a fraction longer than you were thinking:) In my experience Napa "premium" OE-replacement rotors have a very high value rotor. They aren't outrageously priced and they run...
