    Am I overthinking 120,000 miles?

If you wave cash at them, they'll budge. Of course they want the earth, moon and the stars. They also want to move inventory and they'll make enough on a lower real offer on a unit they probably bought at auction that they'll deal even when they say they won't. Do a little research on what the...

    Am I overthinking 120,000 miles?

Okay, so now you just need to get seller down to a more reasonable price. Hit them with an offer you know is less than what they'll take and let them come back with something more reasonable. This is how vehicles are bought and sold and it has been so for about as long as they've been bought and...

    Am I overthinking 120,000 miles?

Depends upon how the piece was used and maintained. If it comes from a large fleet it will probably have had regular maintenance. If it comes from a soul prop maybe not so much. A lot of guys use their work vans hard and aren't real good about maintenance. 120K on a clean and decently maintained...

    Need Advice on Tire Size

Consider the skinny 14" tires used on Benzes and Bey-Em-Veys for years, cars that were noted for good handling. There is more to the equation than dry grip. I think these tires will be fine for as long as they last, assuming they have adequate weight capacity for your car.

Newer Dodge "Ram" trucks with Rust?

At that time, everything from every maker rusted badly.

Newer Dodge "Ram" trucks with Rust?

Don't know about that, since FCA goes back to 2013, or have Dodge/Ram trucks been rusters since before that?

Mileage remaining after fuel tank refill - Chevy Traverse

This function seems to work pretty well on the HAH. Miles remaining does decline more rapidly under higher consumption use and the forecast seems pretty accurate. As someone noted above about their Toyota, miles remaining never increases. It merely declines more slowly under conditions of low...

Can GM key fob be unprogrammed from vehicle?

We bought a new Accord years ago that came with two regular keys plus a valet key. You could lock the remote trunk release and the valet key would only allow access to the door locks and ignition but not the trunk. There came a time years later when I wanted to give the valet key to a third...

Newer Dodge "Ram" trucks with Rust?

One does see more youngish Rams with serious rust than one does Ford or GM pickups. Blame the corporate association with Fiat, always famous for rust.

    "Fuel Efficiency Standards Are Dead"

So I'm a loser and want to make a pile. Where should I go? I can go to the Bay Area, take advantage of nearly free higher education and end up in an air conditioned office before a keyboard and a couple of screens or I can go to SD and work on a rig crew and take physical risks to go along with...

Someone selling crashed SR-71 parts on eBay

Lord, the things you can find on ebay. How would you or the seller authenticate it? Pretty sure it remains USAF property legally if it is authentic.

    "Fuel Efficiency Standards Are Dead"

Cute, but Jeff speaks from personal experience so is well positioned to make his claims. CA's also remains the fourth largest economy in the world.

    "Fuel Efficiency Standards Are Dead"

That Toyotas somehow have superior resale as compared to their Japanese brand competitors is an old and largely discredited meme. That Toyotas somehow have superior reliability is yet another discredited meme. Finally, none of us here have access to either large fleet databases or manufacturer's...

Air India Flight AI171 (Boeing 787-8) Crash

Luckily, Air India wasn't operating a C208 nor are there very many US scheduled flights with this light turbine single. There are a handful of EAS routes operated with the type and I have seen them used to ferry visitors from the old San Juan airport out to resorts on the local islands. This is...

    "Fuel Efficiency Standards Are Dead"

For you, probably none. Since you find an old Corolla a satisfactory car I'd doubt that a BMW will be in your future. Your loss. Another member has already posted the advertised prices of similar examples of a used Tahoe and a used Sequoia showing the Toy well behind in resale value, but you...
