I've never had anything on a windshield that a combination of claybar or razorblade couldn't get off.
I do that type of cleaning once a year and it keeps wiper blades working like new.

I had the Asymmetric 2s years ago and I liked them quite a bit. Very quick, immediate inputs, relatively low noise and comfortable enough.
What's really impressive is that the updated Generals match or beat the Continentals in everything but winter driving and cost about $20 less per tire.
