I've been pretty happy with mine. It really seems to keep the oil clean. After 7K miles my oil is still pretty clear. Keep in mind it is on a really clean engine with 70K miles. Their elements are not std tp size. So that makes it a pain to roll your own. They are also a little larger than std...
I changed my first element. 5K miles Buick PA Ultra 3.8LSC. The oil still looks very light. I am using 10W30 superTech synth. I cut the used filter down the middle with a band saw. I would post a pic but it is pretty boring. The filter is dark brown. About the same darkness through. No particles...
Thanks for the help everyone. As far as autoRx, it could take 1.5 years to get 3K miles on the car. Is it ok to leave that stuff in the sump that long?
I own 2 buicks. Check it, Buick has a lower defect density than honda or toyota. Lesabre is one of the most reliable cars sold statistically. Why don't people back up their opinions with statistics and facts instead of I owned one and it was *&^&. That is a hillbilly argument style.
Peace Out
OK but is the filtration a LOT better than a std filter. If it is and that helps the engine wear less, improve mileage later in life it might be worth it. Opinions?
I guess my point is that assembly plants are not really that big of a deal. Intel makes its chips in indonesia. The knowledge of how to make those chips, build the plants that make those chips, ect is not in indonesia. That is the real stuff that causes people to have a better standard of...
I am tempted to try one of these out. Is the filtration really that much better than a pure one. I will pay the money if it is really a step up. I'm not sure reading their web site. Their "color" tests look a bit slanted.
I only buy GM or Ford products. I prefer GM. As an American. That is a engineer who was born in the United States of America, speaks english, and has had 7 generations of my family live contribute and fight for what we all hold dear here I reason it like this. GM and ford engineer their cars...
