I was initially quite pleased with the powerstop Z36 "towing" pads I installed on my 2011 F150 but they really lack cold weather stopping power and its getting worse as they age. The Akebono's I sprung for on the wife's 2018 are still quite new but have much better cold weather feel.

Are you having problems with the newer style boost they've been using over the past probably decade? The old stuff some the 90's always had boot failures for me but I'm a couple years in on my F150 front end rebuild with Moog PS and so far so good.

Use something like Boeshield T9 (or my favorite, Liquid Wrench chain and cable lube). Minimal gunk, maximal life.
