His money and I agree with him. I never trusted the OCI monitor on my SIlverado but I change mine every 3500 miles so it doesn't mean anything to me. If GM, FORD, RAM and Toyota had their way you'd void your warranty if you did your own oil change. 👍
I see that happening if they win that Right...
TRASH OIL. Used it for 6 oil change intervals of 3500 miles and it didn't do anything. I used Valvoline Restore and Protect for only 3 OCI's 3500 and you could see the difference using a bore scope. With Mobil 1 everything was still black in the cylinders.
After doing a lot of reading and research I find that Mobil 1 has been lying to a lot of people about their FULL SYNTHETIC OIL id is no more that a Synthetic Blend. Switched and will never go back. I don't care what they print on their bottles. Their so called 1 year Oil is a gimmick because I'd...
YES. 1 MILLION PERCENT. YouTube prefers money and does not care if people believe the videos and ruin their engines. Same reason I no longer use X because 70% of the people on there are BOT's, Engagement Farming idiots, porn or AI.
Maybe watch The Motor Oil Geek on YouTube and he tells you why to never use oil additives. The additives break down the additive packages that the Oil makers put in their oils making their oil worthless and offers almost no protection.
I was working on my 2007.5 Silverado and decided to drain and fill my rear diff and I didn't pay attention to the previous owners maintenance records and I thought he had serviced the transmission at 72k miles but it was at 52k miles. I thought I might as well do the transmission. Now I'm at...
HUH? Where did I say anything about that? I was just posting a video showing how great the oil works. Been using it for a year and won’t be going back to Mobil 1 oil.
If it was already using oil as bad as you say then no oil or oil mixture or additive will stop it. You’re just gambling and might as well let us place bets on when the engine blows.
If you can afford to try different oils you can afford to just fix the engine correctly and be done with it.

Dexos was created by GM and oil companies pay for the label/designation. Doesn’t mean oils that aren’t Dexos approved are bad.
After running Valvoline Restore and Protect for the past year I’ll stay with it because I change my oil at 3k and will not go by the owner manual recommendations...
After watching The Motor Oil Geek he just did a video on a 500,000 mile engine. I’ll stay with Valvoline because I’m not driving anything 20,000 miles between oil changes. Valvoline is a cleaning oil so I feel the oil package isn’t made for extended use. I change mine at 3k no matter what.
