Pickup is something I don't need that often. The RX is reasonably useful to throw things into. I think I'll be looking for a good deal on a Corolla/Matrix/Scion Xa/b/c/d from the late '00's or early '10's. I think these years of Hondas were a bit of a step down especially with auto...
I see Amazon still has it for &29.97 or whatever.
I will say though that Walmart here in the middle of the ocean (Maui) doesn’t carry VRP but almost all their oils jumped up in price by $3-$4 since a week or two ago. Also the Kirkland oils over at Costco went from $38.99 to $42.99. 🤷♂️
Wow so it helps oil burning and leaks too? I’m using it in my 182K mile RX 350 that seeps a bit of oil. I was actually concerned it might make it worse but after researching it seems that’s not a big concern.
Nice. It's funny how a basic ass car like a 2008 Corolla could inspire nostalgia the way this beat up little car did today. The first car I drove extensively was a 1990 Corolla 5 speed manual that my sister and I split as our first car and my test drive today really brought back memories of...
Got there as the Accord was being sold. Drove the Corolla and it was a little too beat up for me. Drove it though and it kind of spoke to me. Think I’ll Keep an eye out for a clean example of the generation and see if I can get it for around $4500. I’m a patient person
Haha probably not. I have a bit of bias toward Toyota but some Hondas and Mazdas interest me too,. I'd love to find a 2010ish Mazda 3 hatchback but right now none for sale around me.
A bit but nothing like living in the northeast or something. A lot of the heavier populated areas on Maui have predominantly offshore breezes so the air is usually not that salty even near the beach.
Yeah this is the one I'm most optimistic about. Seems like the buyer is a more together person than some of the other cars. I know Accords have had transmission issues but from what I've read the 07/08 Accord are better than the 03/04/05.
Hoping to check out 4 cars in my area today. Looking for a spare car and reliability and cheap/easy maintenance and repair are my priorities. I'd like to keep it below $5K if possible. It’s slim pickings around here but I’m not in a hurry. I don’t really “need” one but I’ve gotten used to...
Wow I guess I dodged a bullet selling my V6 Accord coupe last week. It was a 2014 and still on its original belt so definitely due! Guy who bought it is an amateur mechanic so I don't feel too bad for him. I'd be bummed to shell out $2K for that though for sure.
Yeah mine was a 2013 RWD F Sport the squeak wasn’t bad for me. I’m in a tropical climate which helps. I only got 15-20K out of the rear tires with the staggered setup. Non F Sports had smaller quieter brakes and square tire setup.
