I changed oil with M1 0w20 at 5k and just now at 15k, just because I was unsure of the TGMO. I'm getting tierd of crawling under vehicle to do oil changes. So I'm thinking just let Toyota do it every 10.....😵

Roll in Herculiner yourself for $100 and then throw the plastic liner in. Chaffing eliminated and dent protection from the plastic ! (y)

First run of synthetic ever..Bulk dino every year before this.It's my company vehicle and I wanted to see how this stuff would do going from infrequent dino changes to a full year run using a fram filter... 43,825 miles on truck 4.3 l engine no make-up oil 60% highway 40% city cold...

I ran Syntec 5w20 in the wifes car,checked the uoa in the appropriate section..

Manual says 10w30,cap says 5w30...??????????..It's only had 10w30 once in it's life,rest has been 5w30 or 0w30...It's all 30 weight at operating temp so I hardly think it makes a difference..

I'm gonna compare this 5w20 run to a run of 5w30,but this report does seem favorable and I will give it another try...

Sorry it's a 3.8...I know it's not alot of mileage but the 20w seems to have held it's own here.It's a chronic short tripper,maybe just the cold months???

Trying the the thin is in thing.First sample ever on this engine with 42k.Wanted to go longer but one particular cold morning the engine had some ticking noise for a few seconds at start-up,I paniced(I should know better)and changed the oil that day..Until then nothing out of the ordinary,mpg up...

It's gonna be @ 11,8xx or so miles I think,need to check my notes on it,first time I've ever went a whole year on an oci,I feel bad but I wanted to see what this stuff did and how an engine that was abused,by that I mean 1.25 miles to work and 1.25 miles home,virtually no highway miles in 7...
