What do you make of Mobil 1 ESP X4 0W-40 having a VI of over 200? Would using higher quality VIIs help offset any potential issues? To compare, I looked at HPL's 0W-40 offerings, PCMO Premium and Premium+ are around 187, and Super Car is 179.
I dug around some more. It seems that there were multiple formulations of this oil. This one is from 2013:

The spectrometer analysis for X3 and X4 are practically identical, I wonder what the difference between the two is. Could it be they just decided to get SP and A40 approvals on X3, and they just released the same oil under a new label?
@tiredguy Why don't you do a run or 2 with say VRP and then the same with a euro oil and get a UOA for each and look at the wear metals to make a decision?
