I believe you are right. I looked at TC-W3 certification from 2017 and Amalie is listed under the OEM for Super Tech. However, in 2020 they list Warren Oil. I suppose Walmart goes with the lowest bidder in oil like everything else.
Wood heat is the best way isn't it! I know I feel healthier when I'm processing wood. I'm running a small Stihl 026, which is easy to service, and a Lawn Boy for the finer grass cutting. I realize that a wear test would be complex (and not in any way lucrative), but on the same token, reading...
This is the best answer of course. I'm not looking for something recommended (as 100% tested to be safe and effective). In my case, I'm just looking for something besides the SAE 30 that used to be recommended in manuals for when I have what I have on hand. I'm curious if anyone else has...
I'm sure they are not. But... I've used the Super Tech TC-W3 in all of my saws (Stihl and Poulan), mowers (Lawn Boy), and all other 2 cycle equipment (outboards, etc) for over a decade and have never had a fouled plug or failure with it. I read on several forums before I started using it and...
To preface this thread, please only constructive comments (criticism welcome of course if it's based on more than opinion). Also, this is not a recommendation thread. It's obviously stepping into unknown territory with good or bad results. As a guy who works on his own equipment, I understand...
I have used Walmart Super Tech TC W3 ($13 a gallon) for years but have stopped shopping at Walmart. It's the one thing I miss having access to. I trusted it in my chainsaws, lawn boy mowers, and boats because it ran clean with little to no smoke (40:1) and I never had a mechanical issue. Maybe...
I just drained the fluid on my E350s DANA 3.55 differential. I decided to check the backlash and it looks like there's about .010-.011" depending how hard I push and pull on the ring gear.
I checked it in vehicle with the spindles pulled out, drive shaft still connected.
Am I likely to hurt...
This threads about as mixed as everything else I've read when I google searched it a week ago.
I've read good and bad reports on MOOG. Maybe the bads are from the imported product. Who knows. Seems like Deeza has a good name. I've not seen them at most of the places I shop. I'll have to watch...
Interesting. So if it's USA MOOG, it sounds like it's still good. This is for a Powerstroke Diesel (Truck chassis). I've read on one of the Ford Truck forums in more than one thread that a set of MOOG Ball Joints lasted 15k which seems awefully short for the type of job ball joints are. I just...
I did a little google searching and it seems today's MOOG isn't the same MOOG or at least a mixed bag of experiences, but plenty of bad ones especially recent and also some imported stuff in the mix:

I've driven MB Diesels for years and it was never hard to find the good stuff for those cars. It was almost like Apple, the OEM products were almost all anyone recommended and it was usually pretty reliable that you were getting high quality.
I'm not a Mac user but that's one thing I have to...
Ball Joints, Tie Rods, etc. Who makes the good stuff?
Seems like I've heard mixed reviews of the brands I've thought would be considered best. i.e. only 15k out of a set of USA made ball joints.
