Blackstone lab: we found nothing unusual in this sample,Molybdenum, an anti-wear additive, is used in moderation and without Boron. Magnesium is used in place of high calcium amount. The anti-wear properties are routine. We think this oil will serve your diesel engine needs well. What does every one else think ?

  • Moly 44

  • sodium 3

  • calcium 1182

  • magnesium 939

  • phosphorus 1019

  • zinc 1291

sorry i didn't add the viscosity @ 210'f it's 76.8 and the flashpoint is 425 and i didnt get the tbn ,

TBN should be 12+ considering the massive dose of magnesium.

moly levels are appropriate for diesel oil. too bad they didnt load it up with boron.

as per Valvoline the TBN is 10 i was trying to see what the difference was between the Valvoline PB 15w40 and the new Rotella 15w40 both are CJ-4 oils. the Rotella was checked here and it had a TBN of 10.3 but, both oils have very different add packages what would you all use between the two ? the PB 15w40 is on sale at the local flying-Js buy one get one free
