Many or most processed foods have petroleum or petroleum by-products in them. Welcome to Foodtog.
 
My wife cooks it and I eat it. I would rather have rice If I have to eat carbs. Eating healthy is all you can do .

We buy the bags of it mixed with rice from Costco. That's the only way I have tried it. Seems pretty good.

Maybe by itself... but even then, it's not bad if done right.

I like to use it as an ingredient, not a main or side dish. It mixes well with other things.

It seems to be used instead of eggs to keep the dough together in gluten free stuff/breads...

tried it plain , takes some to get used to.
