Thanks, this is one case in which I get to redline and give technical feedback to Marketing. In most cases, the development group gets no final say in what goes into product brochures and general marketing.

has some great mola information (note Borax doesn't work).

Thanks mate, I missed that one.

If I may ask, what would the TBN be? I would guess about 7.5 for that 10k mile OCI.

BTW nice low Noack of 9.3%, very impressive. Looks like it's made on good quality base stock.

Hey, and thanks again for telling us all about it. It's very interesting.

I so want this oil for my daily drive.

Congratulations on making such an excellent product.

This oil looks better and better...high TBN is not a huge concern to me as I run fairly short OCIs on my turbo (Subaru is recommending 6kmiles for this engine now in normal service), but I sure don't mind a healthy result there. That HTHS makes me more comfortable than the 3.0-3.1 of the non-ESP M1 5W30s I have used.

I know !
To me a typical ILSAC 30 grade oil has a HTHS of 2.9 to 3.1 cP

In Oz we get an Edge 10W30 that is GF-5 and A5/B5 with a HTHS of 3.2 cP, which is the highest ILSAC oil I have seen. But to kick it up again to 3.3 cP is excellent. The Euro grade A3/B3/B4 oils start at 3.5 cP, so Mola's oil nicely sits between a typical ILSAC oil and a Euro A3 oil. That's a nice place to be.

Just FYI, Penrite 10-Tenths Racing 5W30 also has a HTHS of 3.3 cP, but it's loaded with zinc (1760 ppm) so not very exhaust cat friendly. Mola's 0W30 is the first 3.3 cP oil I have seen that would work well in most regular cars.

It's a perfect oil for most modern DI - Turbo cars in pretty much any climate.

Ca 1430, B 140, Mg 12.
TBN 10.8

How is the % of Borate Dispersant?

Why not Aminated dispersant, client don't like the smell?

Has nothing to do with smell and cannot disclose the dispersant level.

From the first post:

Not seen of course is the dual anti-oxidant

Dual anti-oxidant contains aminic chemistries.

That is fair enough, you need to respect your customer's privacy.

You have already said

FM is a combination of a specific MoDTC and monoleates.

Dispersant is a Boronated dispersant.

Good for a 10k OCI in most daily drivers, and for those who wish to use a 0W30 in high mileage vehicles speced for XW20's

So it would definitely have enough dispersants for a 10k OCI.

I assume we are talking petrol (gas) here, and it's not a dual rated as a light duty diesel engine oil like a A5/B5 or A3/B4 is. If this is so, it makes sense to me, as most diesel engines use either a HDEO APi CJ-4 / CK-4 or a Euro ACEA C3 / C4 oil. Sounds sensible to focus on one particular, and strong, part of the local market. Assuming you did.
