There is an Ebay entry for just under $1000, surely there has to be something cheaper? $400 or so?

Would the rear end from a Silverado work too? IIRC, 2500 Suburbans have leaf springs too.

Look for the G80 code on a sticker in the glove box. This indicates the truck is equipped with the locker.

Look for one of these codes for 3.73 gearing.

You need to know if you have a 9.5" Semi-Float axle or a 10.5" Full-Float axle.

A good low mileage semi float 9.5" is worth $500 to $650, No interest in these from the hardcore 4x4 community.

A good low mileage full float 10.5" is worth $800-$1000, TONS of interest it these axles.
