Needs:
Excellent oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, containing anti-foaming inhibitors.

Viscosity- SUS of 150 to 200 at 100 degrees.
Vis index in excess of 100.

Mos of the fluid couplings that I've dealt with used ISO 32 oils.

Chevron drive train fluid HD 10wt
Chevron Delo 400 10wt.

It's heaps easier to find an oil for a specific brand and style of torque converter than it is to reverse engineer a torque converter from an oil brand and a sump capacity.
