Out: 5.5qts Pennzoil Platinum and Napa Gold filter

I meant to only grab a sample to do a UOA and see how my wifes ultra short trips are effecting the oil, but I dropped the plug in the catch pan and I just decided it was easier to change it all.

In: 5.5qts Pennzoil Ultimate (x-mas present from Dad) and Bosch D+ -gonna leave it in until the OLM says so.
 
Wife's 1997 Camry 4 banger with 168,024 miles.

Out: 3.8 qts Valvoline Maxlife 5w-30 & PureOne filter

In: 2.8 qts Maxlife 5w-30 + 1 qt 10w-40 Amsoil XL (Per recommendation to reduce/stop an oil leak by thickening it up. We'll see. PureOne filter spun on.

This engine sounds fantastic - no noises, chatter, nothing.

2010 Cadillac CTS 3.0L with 39,100 miles.
Out: 5.8 qts PP 5W30 + .2qts Unleaded Gasoline. ACDelco Filter.
In: 5 qts PP 5W30 + 1 qt Rotella T6 5W40. AcDelco filter.
OCI: Will let it go to the 50-30% OLM range.

2010 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 with 9770 miles.
Out: 5 qts PP 5W30. PureOne oil filter.
In: 5 qts QSUD 5W30. PureOne oil filter.
OCI: 6 Months/5k miles

2009 Ford Fusion 3.0L V6 with 27,700 miles
Out: 6qts PP 5W20. PureOne oil filter.
In: 5qts PP 5W20 + 1 qt Rotella T6 5W40. PureOne oil filter.
OCI: 1 year.

2001 Mercury Grand Marquis
Out: 5 liters Liqui-Moly Synthoil High Tech 5W-40 with Motor Oil Saver/Motorcraft FL-820S and Motorcraft FA-1032

Engine was also flushed for 20 minutes with Liqui-Moly Pro-Line Engine Flush. The MAF and IAT sensors were cleaned with starting fluid, and the throttle body was cleaned with Liqui-Moly Throttle Valve Cleaner. Tires were rotated back to front.

In: 5 liters Liqui-Moly Synthoil High Tech 5W-40 with Liqui-Moly Cera Tec and Motor Oil Saver/Bosch Distance Plus D3410 and Purolator PureONE PA24343

OCI: 6 months or 10,000 km (6,250 miles)

The Focus got its oil and filter changed this evening.

Out:
3 qts ServicePro 5w-20 blend, 1 qt Havoline 5w-20 conventional, 0.5 qts Mobil 1 0w-20, and a Mobil 1 filter.

In:
4.5 qts Peak conventional 5w-30, and a Fram TG filter.

I've been wanting to try 5w-30 in my Focus, so we'll see how this run goes. The planned OCI is ~5,300 miles.

interested to see what your observations are. Since I've had mine, I've only used 5w30 because its what I've had on hand. My last few highway trips I've gotten 34mpg and 32mpg (via ScanGauge) just wondering if 5w20 would make any difference or not. I have to assume I wouldn't notice the difference.
 
2008 F150, 42,500 miles on the clock.

Out: Dealer unknown Mobil bulk 5w20 and a newer model FLS820s.

In: Motorcraft 5w30 Full Synthetic and an older model FLS820s.

Will be running this until 50,000 miles.

My first oil change! was a bit scary getting under the car. Didn't know used oil smelled so bad. The oil nut was really tight though, almost gave up but gave it a yank and loosened it.
 
I did three cars are once last month:

2005 Ford Five Hundred: 6 quarts of G-Oil 5W30, Motorcraft FL820S filter. Lots of suburban and city driving. OCI: around 5000 miles.

2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Oz Rally: 4.5 quarts of G-Oil 5W30, Purolator Classic. OCI around 5000 miles with mostly city and suburban driving.

1999 Ford Taurus: 5.1 quarts of Valvoline NextGen 5W30, the remains of G-Oil from Lancer above, and I re-used the oil filter that was installed by MIDAS on the previous oil change. The filter was used for only 1500 miles, and the current OCI will be about 3,000 miles, so I thought it's alright to reuse. This one was problematic because I don't own a filter wrench and the filter did not cooperate. The last oil change was done at Midas (it was a freebie) 1,500 miles ago. Lots of short trips.

In: Peak dino 5w30 and a Purolator L-25230.

Will be running this about 5,000 miles.
