Looking for recommendations on the best type of oil to use in modern, splash lubed, split shell plain bearing, belt drive piston compressors.

I have used whatever synthetic 10w30 is the cheapest when I need it.

As I'm in the UK I went for a Morris product, Airforce 4000 in 20 grade, meets the following specs,

DIN 51506 VD-L Category
ISO 6743-3

I use Morris in classic and modern bikes with good results over the years. Their products are good quality and well priced.
Shell Corena was also considered but not available in anything smaller than 25 ltr drums which isn't financially viable for me.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Switching compressor oils is not simple. Most compressor oils are not compatible with others. Get with your oil supplier and tell them what you are currently using and what you plan to use. You will need to flush and probably use a softener....
