I dumped the oil in my toro zero turn (kawa 21hp) as i changed the filter i realized i did not have my oil for it. I usually run amsoil motorcycle 10w40( manual calls for 30wt 10w 30 or 10w 40). I had none and all i had was a 1/2 bottle of castrol 4t mc oil, 1/2 bottle of rotella 15w40. I used that and added a quart of 5w30 napa synthetic. This allowed me to run the mower and get it back in the shed so i could close the doors.

How long would you suggest i run this franken brew? i usually change each season, i put about 25 hrs a year on it. Should i dump this as soon as i buy a couple of bottles of the same oil?

For 25 actual running hours the oil itself should be fine.
I've got 16 5.5hp 160cc Honda powered air compressors and iirc 6 generators from 3000w-6500w.
I run 100 hour oil changes.
I've got motors with in excess of 15000 hours on them, with nothing more than oil changes and plug changes.
I use a tc-w3 mix in the fuel and mos2 every second oil change.
And even at 100 hours the oil itself isn't shot however because they are splash lubricated without an oil filter and they run in the dustiest of conditions, and fuel dilution is the biggest issue with them I don't want to take any chances.
Without a filter for the oil I'm sure there is some dirt intrusion into the crankcase oil. And considering it's less than a quart capacity it's not like its a huge deal changing them out.
My air compressors are all Honda powered. A few are new,and the 2 oldest are the first 2 I bought when we first started this company with my siblings. So when I say in excess of 15000 hours I mean it

There should be nothing wrong with that mix as it will fall in the recommended viscosity and they are all fine oils. I would keep it in there without hesitation.
