zerk / grease fitting question on Cherokee XJ

Two weeks ago I filled up all the zerk fittings with grease on my 99 cherokee RWD . Now the Zerk fitting on trak bar seems to be leaking like an oil. The fitting doesn't seem to have any corrosion on it. Is it possible that the fitting isn't good or is the donut that holds the grease have a crack in it letting water in. The leak is coming from the ball of the fitting.

The ball didn't seat in the zerk. The zerk is cheap & easy to replace. The oil could be the result of two incompatible greases mixing, probably a good idea to pump enough new grease through to clean out the old grease.

Are you using a cheap track bar or a premium one? I find that cheap track bars are so poorly threaded that the Zerk fitting almost never installs properly. The Zerk isn't built well either.

Its the original trak bar that came with the car. Okay I used lucas grease for it. I don't know what the previous owner used (I only have the jeep for half a year). So just put a new grease fitting? How do I get all the old grease out?
Also I used my buddies grease gun, can I first replace the fitting and when I get around to his house replace the grease or does it all have to be done in one time?

Just keep pumping in grease until new grease is coming out around the boot [being careful that it is coming out and not swelling up the boot, you don't want to burst the boot].

It's fine to replace the zerk 1st then grease it when you can get around to it.
