I'm fighting a cold and on the mend.........wife made some chicken soup....this isn't your granny's chicken soup....holy clean and ream my head out.........whoa....

She didn't follow any single recipe, more like she was told the recipe but these should get you in the ball park.

First sip comes on really strong - and I'm a spice head...then it's like hmm...dunno........then half into the bowl it's getting REALLY good.....and when down to a quarter, this is THE best chicken soup EVER.
 
Sounds yummy.

For warming up and clearing out the sinuses, I love tom yum chicken (or shrimp) soup. It requires kaffir lime leaves though, which are hard to find, so I typically just order the soup from a local Thai restaurant.
 
I just noticed something....only one of those recipes has chipotle chile in adobo, and some have tomato.

There is no tomato in the real thing and you gotta have the adobo or it won't work.
