Terrible. All I know is there will be some major suspensions. The NBA also has to do something about the fans. ESPN's John Saunders called the Detriot fans "a bunch of punks" VERY true, I've seen it first hand at Colorado Avalanche games when they have played the Red Wings. I guess all games there were fans throwing things at the Pacer players and yelling racial slurs. This was crazy, anyone see the replay???

I sat there and replayed it 5 times, I was shocked...But, where else but Detroit???

Both sides are guilty. Look at it this way.... you put ten semi-criminals (maybe less) out on a court and pay them millions, then you add thousands of screaming and obsessed rude hot-heads, and what do you get?

I didn't see it, and don't plan to. Bunch of tall spoiled millionaires wearing shorts.

Easy prediction - lots of NBA money will be flowing to bruised Detroit "fans".

I agree. The NBA is pathetic. I didn't watch the game, just saw the highlights. Gimme college anyday.

You are so close to the truth...and it is not just a problem in the NBA....

i feel the detroit fans who provoked the players dont deserve to sue for money.

1. ron artest charging the fan who threw a plastic beer bottle at him.
2. stephan jackson punching that guy in the face that threw the water in artest's face in the stands.
3. artest punching the bald guy who punched him from behind.
4. artest punching that detroit fan stepped up to artest on the court.
5. jermaine o'neal flying in with a running punch and connecting on the fans who were fighting with artest.

at the end of it seemed like the indiana players were fighting for survival b/c there were so many fans everywhere.

remember this same type of incident happened in a baseball game between the dodgers and cubs fans a few years ago.

I don't watch sports, but to me that was true entertainment. Very nice!

I agree that the fans should not be able to sue: even though the team members are overpaid losers, if someone throws a bottle at them, the players have the right to step up if security has not hauled the fan away.

Did anyone see the young brownhaired guys face when the blue jersey guy was climbing over the bleachers? All the other fans ran when they saw 6'8" of fury charging up the bleachers, but this guy froze, and his face went from an angry "F you!' face to a "holy ish this guys coming and he's serious". His mouth was a perfect 'O' of horror before he got taken down...

Slow mo that if you've got it...Priceless!

BTW, you have to go to soccer matches in the EU to see real violence at a sporting event.....Regular bodybags over there....

XBA? Please clafify that...is that X-treme Basketball Association...kinda like jungle basketball, only include the fans along with the players in a fight to the death...interesting alternative to present day reality shows on the tube.

Donald Trump...are you ready for this? Groucho and I will sign the rights over to you for a reasonable fee. Groucho, can we get this done?

I am going to review some tapes of "Celebrity Deathmatch" and see if I can come up with some more ideas to further this thing along...keep in touch.

I don't blame the fans at all, they pay the bills. Ron Artest is insane and has had a dozen suspensions, I hope he never gets to play pro ball again. If I were the commisioner I would suspend the entire Detroit and Indiana organizations. If you fight, you don't get to pay.

I was not there, and all I have seen is just what is being reported by the media and ESPN. If what I see is accurate, then I think a lot of people "crossed the line", including the fans.
