I heard the muzak version of "Find Your Way Back" from the Jefferson Starship (1980) just now during the "weather on the 8's" segment.

I agree. I heard a Billy Idol song on muzak in my office lobby the other day. I remember thinking how rebellious and controversial he was at the time. I also remember thinking how old I was getting for that music to be in the realm of muzak now.

When you see things from your childhood in a museum. When my wife first saw some of her childhood toys in a museum, she actually cried.

My son seemed kind of imrpessed though when I mentioned that one album that I bought when it came out was Black Sabbath, a group he could relate to.

My first concert was the Buffalo Springfield, and as I recall the James Cotton Blues Band started off.

Another sign is when the cashier at your favorite cafe says, here is your senior discount.

I get the impression that Muzak re-dos are pretty commonly done for current songs. I remember hearing one for Everyone Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears at the same time that song was still on the top 40.

I haven't got to the senior discount yet. But I am seeing that ARP is giving you benefits when you get to be 55 yrs old. I am not too many years away from that.

Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion had a skit where they did Purple Haze with quacking ducks
