Not sure, but that program is not very effective. I would suggest getting else. You can get NOD32 and other AV programs for $10 on sale.

Time to switch over to some other real time anit-virus software if you plan on keeping XP on your machine for a while.

What's the best free, real run time anti-virus software available today if people want to get rid of Microsoft Security Essentials?

Free, I think Bitdefender is. Though some people have found it to be buggy. Avira is another good choice. Both are relatively lightweight, though not as light as a paid-for product like NOD32.

There are a number of good free antivirus programs out there. As Overkill mentioned, Bitdefender is good, although I personally like Avast antivirus the best. They have a very good free version.

Once Mr. Softee stops issuing patches I'd say it's time to exit. Win7 or Linux Mint is the way to go.

I see you an buy the full version of Malwarebytes Pro to have full time active scanning & protection for only $25 for a lifetime license.

I know Malwarebytes is well renowned ... just wonder how it does as a real time virus scanner. Anyone using the Pro version?
