I was just wondering if anyone has used this before or even heard of it. I have not used it and I do not have any plans to, I was just curious. A friend told me about this because her parents are "independent business owners" with this company, and she says she heard someone say at a meeting she went to with them that it was the best stuff, lol. So I asked her what this "great" stuff was and she showed me. Interesting thing is the bottle now looks like the bottle of Octane Booster Amsoil sells. The bottle she showed me probably almost a year ago was semi opaque like Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant bottles, but a different shape, the liquid inside looked like Lucas UCL, it was roughly the same color, seemed to move the same in the bottle and when I shook it it sounded the same. I never felt the liquid so I can not say for certain it is just like Lucas UCL. This cleaner is made by the MidContinental Chemical Co.

Maybe they are selling it through Amway's channel, alongside with soaps, Mary Kaye cosmetics and Tupperware?

Hmmm..new business model for me (back to the days of door-to-door paddling? Or just round up your neighbourhood's unemployed housewives and pursuade them to resell boxes of these for a marginal profit?

I was doing a search to see how many additive companies are out there and what do they sell. I was looking at DuraLubes site and noticed their fuel system cleaner is in the same shaped bottle and i remember from before, the liquid inside a semi opaque bottle, looked like Lucas UCL, which the DuraLube UCL looks the same except for a slight color difference in some bottles. I think it would be funny if it was the same stuff and it wouldn't surprise me if it was or was very close.

The XLP product is marketed thru Amway, but is made by Chevron. On the gas side of this, I can't really tell the difference between the XLP gas version and the Chevron Techron fuel additive. I have used the diesel version in a previous engine out of a request by a family friend who is doing the Amway thing. I noticed nothing special about it in my last engine after using about 4 gallons of it. But, I am going to give it a hard test this winter in a new factory remanned Detroit Series 60. It is as cost effective or better as any other brand at the application rate, so that is not an issue. How it handles ULSD with some bio in it and deals with the winter in the upper midwest will be the big challenge. The cloud point and filter plug point claims are close to the Amsoil products. Should be interesting. But, I always carry spare fuel filters just in case.
