New guy to the site here....man, this site rocks!

I have to confess...I'm one of those people who knows that for best performance and reliability, you prolly shouldn't be using additives, just straight quality oils and reasonable change intervals, but, I love the idea of adding a 'miracle lubricant' to make my engine run 'that much better' or 'that much longer'...weird weakness, I guess!

Anyway, love your site, and the way you do have lab analysis on oils and addy's to actually see what they are about...puts a lot of them in perspective, and cuts through the hype! Wondering if anyone knows what is in what seems to be a fairly new product on the market - 'Wynn's Engine Treatment'. From the website:

Engine Treatment
Concentrated long life engine treatment

Bonds to engine parts for “cold start” protection

Prevents oil thickening

Controls oxidation to prevent formation of sludge and engine deposits

...of course sounds great like all others - any idea of what its made of?

Its a bit more expensive than some others at $14.97(CDN) at Wal-Mart, but maybe its worth it, relatively speaking? Thanks for any ideas!

http://www.wynnsusa.com I can't link directly to the MSDS section since it includes characters in the url that are not allowed by the board's software

Find the product code off of the bottle and see what you can match up. That will tell you the MSDS listed contents of the stuff. It may not tell you much.

Most of the properties that you listed ..at least the oxidation ..is/are moot @ $15 Canadian when you see you can do another oil change for about that much. Otherwise I can't comment on the use of this since I haven't even thought of it since 1975 or so ..when I was a gas jockey and we sold it.
