WRIAD: White Rim in a Day

The White Rim Trail is near Moab Utah, 100 miles and 8000' of climb. I may have mentioned training for this ride. We did it last weekend. Trip report.

TLDR; a physically tough ride, beautiful scenery, a bucket-list experience.

I can't imagine that most people on this site have any idea to the level of difficulty this ride must have been. This is serious stuff folks!

I've done the WRT (White Rim Trail) 5 times on a 250cc motorcycle. Every single time, I'm exhausted at the end of the ride. I'm also bubbling with excitement due to the unbelieveable beauty. It's fully an adult portion of life.

For those of you unfamiliar with the WRT, you should Google and look at some pics. It's amazing. I simply cannot imagine doing it on a bicycle. Impressive!

@MRC01, wow, that's an incredible ride. I may have been capable of that in my late 20s, but can't imagine doing it now.
