Quick charging, because the range is dependent on several conditions. If you considered an electric vehicle would you prefer longer range on a charge or the ability to quick charge in say 10 minutes?
I think I still like longer range.
This. If we don't have to stop, we're not going to.Range - on road trips we usually only stop every 4-5 hours. The stop is a bit longer and we usually have lunch.
I was thinking range as being around 600 miles of range. That would be a reasonable amount for most people. How high is up? Both are unanswerable questions. There isn't enough information to know the difference in range / charge speed to make a decision. And until an EV can reliable and repeatedly deliver both range and quick charging they aren't ready for prime time anyway.
The average miles driven per day is 35. So yeah, 600 outta do it.I was thinking range as being around 600 miles of range. That would be a reasonable amount for most people.
I would be good with ~250 in the Odyssey, if you could get ~200 in 30 minutes. The average miles driven per day is 35. So yeah, 600 outta do it.
EVs are not a fit for everyone. If you start out full, you drive 65 miles to hanger. Of course round trip is not a problem, but you could charge while the car is idle, given there was a charger available.I would be good with ~250 in the Odyssey, if you could get ~200 in 30 minutes.
I (not the family) sometimes do 500+ miles on a whim and absolutely need that capability. Most days I'd be fine with a ~250 mile range but probably once a week I wouldn't and it would be a hindrance.
My "normal" days can often go south; I'm 65 miles to the hangar and I may find something broken and the part is a state over. I don't need range anxiety on top of my regular anxiety.
Well I was think for those few times you might make a long trip and don't want range anxiety. I realize for the vast majority far less range is needed on a daily basis. Much like most cars could have a gas tank half as big.The average miles driven per day is 35. So yeah, 600 outta do it.
