Would stick-on heat sink fins reduce trans temps?

It would but I like the idea of the pump sending fluid off to the radiator and any additional radiators the user adds, then that cooler fluid goes back to the transmission and "does stuff."

Heat sinks on the bottom of the pan will lower the overall temp slightly, but it's only useful if the radiator system was maxed out. Transmission heat-ups happen during "surges of power", accelerating without TCC, and I think the radiator side will react faster to keep things cool. Most transmissions have a thermostat in the line so if things get hot, more fluid will flow.

Off topic, they used to have a light-duty Powerglide transmission that was "air cooled."
