Would MMO or TW3 work for ethanol build-up?

I have a few older Honda 50 dirtbikes. I was wondering if adding 1oz of MMO per gallon would help stabilize the gas and also protect the carb from being torn up from the ethanol in the gasoline? What about running TW3, or does that only help as an UCL?

If so is the 1oz per gallon okay for MMO? More? Less?

What about TW3? Yay or nay?

What Im after here is to help the carb from "varnishing" from the ethanol. So whatever would help, please let me know.

Thanks guys!

MMO and most two cycle oil also has a bit of fuel stabilization properties but I would use Stabil or Startron fuel stabilizer for any long term storage issues.

Agreed. I use the blue Stabil in all of my OPE.

Stabil worked OK for me, but I'd highly recommend Green Earth Tech's fuel stabilizer. My engines always started up easier after a winter with it vs stabil. Also, not sure why but my snow blower doesn't have issues when I put GET FS in it, but it does have issues with nothing in it. I don't know if snow blowers are more prone to water since they operate in extreme cold conditions and then sit.

MMO is a good UCL and cleaner, it is not as good as Stabil for long term storage. TCW3 is probably the best of the UCL's. I use a combination of MMO and Stabil, and store all my OPE with full tanks for seasonal storage. I've never had a problem doing so. JMO

Use a fuel stabilizer like Stabil, or drain the tank and bowl...there isn't much in-between that gives good results over the winter.

Considering the dirt bikes use relatively small amounts of fuel, why not search out some ethanol-free gasoline? It is usually available at marinas, and some service stations.

I've been using tc-w3 in all my gas powered generators and air compressors for a few years now and the guy who services our equipment actually pulled me aside this year and asked what I was doing, since apparently he has to rebuild the carb's on these things at least yearly on most other crews equipment, but never ours.
I mix roughly 2 ounces tw-w3 and 4 ounces acetone in a 25 litre Jerry can and have for years now,and never a carb issue, nor fuel distribution issue, nor carbon build up issue. Nothing.
I've got 12 Honda 160cc 5.5hp gas powered air compressors and 5 6000 watt princess auto generators. The only service they've ever required is new pull cords. Try pulling one of them over at -30,rip cords are the weakest link.
These machines run 8-12 hours a day,5-7 days a week under the worst possible duty possible. From -40c-35c these machines gotta work,or my men don't work.
We've even put the motors in front of the exhausts of our trucks to get them to start, once they are going we have little houses built for them that we put over them and they run all day until the workday is finished.
If we are lucky enough to have power nearby we will put an electric heater in the cube van, beside the pumps to keep a little warmth on them to aid in starting.

Thanks guys but I didnt see anyone touch on if MMO helps reduce or completely removes the ethanol dryness properties/gumming properties.

Ethanol HELPS with varnishing. It keeps things cleaner than pure gas.
I don't know what you are talking about.
A bit of TCW3 is great in the gas, but you are talking eye dropper amounts - overdosing is easy and possibly detrimental.
Gas seems to store better now. Even untreated, at least 6 months seems to be just fine.

Marinas have largely gone with Gasahol... the stuff with ethanol. Starton tends to be more popular with marine gasoline engines.
