The screen looks very fine, much finer than any kitchen strainer or VW beetle strainer that I recall seeing.

I can see it being pretty efficient at removing particles larger than the mesh for a short time ...

no way can you run a paper clip through the mesh without damaging it.

i will post the chart on monday.

It's on page 20 of their catalog.

Looks like the graph says that mesh screen filter is almost 100% efficient at 20 microns. Yeah, sure!

So if I put one of these on my 435 HP car I can expect as much as 21.75 HP gain. Wow ...

thanks for showing the link to the catalog. Feel free to tear apart absurd claims they make for the rest of their products. I will buy eneos oil filter for my next oil change.

So absurd horsepower increase claims aside...

If the screen is say 19microns, then why wouldn't it be ~100% efficient at 20 microns until it clogged up and bypassed (does it have a bypass - it does not look like it does)

I really doubt that screen is a 19 micron mesh. But yeah, if it was indeed that fine it could be that efficient. But the thing is, those expensive mesh screen filters don't even do 100% @ 20 microns, so why would this cheesy filter? Just sayin' ...

Oh I doubt it too...

Seems like it would be very hard (read "expensive") to manufacture a wire mesh like that.

Not all require a bypass valve but I doubt it's needed with a filter that has high flowing mesh
