I'm thinking the past couple of folks haven't seen the Duggars on the TV shows before.
I think he works and she is a stay at home mom. He makes enough for all of them, and the family works together.
I think others could learn from their example of raising productive, well behaved and well adjusted children.
I don't think the Duggars have an entitlement attitude as far as I can see.

I've seen a TV show that detailed their day to day life. Apparently Jim Bob makes enough money to support them all. Something about that family gave me the serious CREEPS, though. I'm telling you, there is something not right in that mix.
Yeah, they believe in God and they are debt free. This typically freaks out folks who don't choose to live that way.
No, it freaks me out that people like them use God as an excuse to behave certain ways...

Even if they choose to behave in GOOD ways. After all, I don't think the Duggars are telling others to have a dozen kids, kill the _fill in the blank_ or anything else of the like.
The argument about religion killing more than anything else falls on deaf ears and I believe doesn't stand up to intellectual scrutiny.
I will not deny that folks have done some pretty rotten things an have hidden their sin behind a mantle of "religion" or acting for God.
But for every example cited, I can probably find as many for folks who were NOT acting based on a stated or even real faith, but their own schemes.
People are selfish, period, even the religious ones.

The guy has the perfect plan: he's getting tons of unprotected action, and the doctors have told his wife she may die from too many pregnancies. Hmmmmmmm, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he has a HUGE life insurance policy on her...

My mom came from a family of 12 kids. My Grandparents were devout old-school Catholics until the day they died. Birth control was NEVER used. My grandfather worked 3 jobs seven days a week to raise his family. It's what they believed in and they did it right. All 12 children grew up to be rather successful, as well as the 34 grandchildren.

Three times a week will cause pregnancy in most couples over the course of one year, so it doesn't take an extraordinary effort. By optimizing timing the chance of fertilization can be considerably increased. Women's fertility usually decreases with successive births, but not always. If she's very fertile, and if he's got good swimmers, one pregnancy per year seems easily doable. The babies should pretty much fall out of her, which makes me wonder if just maybe she had a zipper installed.
It's their choice to have as many kids as they want. Doesn't sound like they can't afford it. This is a very rare case in any case and hardly bound to bring the country to its knees. I don't know if they are creepy folks, because I have never heard of them before (I don't watch daytime tv shows).

i am with you on this one. i dont see any harm in it unless abuse is an issue or anything else negative.. its a free country.
