Has anyone cut open any of the new purolator wix filters yet? I want to see how they compare to the older ones

This was one I cut open last year. I ended up buying a box of old-style Fram Ultras to take their place.

I’ve cut a bunch open. The WIX 10358 And few others. CarQuest and lots of Mann/Hummel owned CarQuest ones now Made in China

Yeah they’ve been made in China for a while now. Most cartridge filters are

I guess the only positive is there is more surface area
