Wix Strikes Again!

The topic under discussion is the cabin air filter aka pollen filter. Most auto parts stores only stock the most common types and have to special order the others from the warehouse. $15-25 is normal, though of course you can order yourself online and save money. I'm not sure what brands I've used, because I am not as picky about the pollen filters as I am about air filters, oil filters, or fuel filters.

I got a Wix cabin filter today for my wifes 2006 Altima. The other was clogged plum up it had 128,000 miles on it. I had never thought to change it. I agree with the thin and cheap for the wix because its very thin and cheap looking. It sure made a difference in the AC it will blow you out of the car now I never knew it would make a big difference but now I know. The OEM one was very thick and well made. My mom picked me up a FRAM scented one from Oreilly's toningt and going to install it tonight after work in my 2001 GMC. Hope it looks better than the wix did.
