I just purchased 2 Napa Gold 1344 oil filters for my Hondas. Both came in identical boxes, but the filters were completely different, except for the number, 1344. (Oversize for the 1334)
The first one was the regular style 1344 I'm used to; orange ADBV, conventional bypass (closed end) etc. The second one was bigger in diameter, had a black ADBV and had the Wix open end by-pass valve. Whats up with that...and does anyone know if this style bypass is better or worse. It seems like it might give the oil more area to bypass through (a good thing for cold starts?), but it's just so, well...DIFFERENT!!!
