Here's my setup. I have comcast broadband going through to a motorola cable modem. have the ethernet cable from the cable modem to the linkys voip phone router to my wireless router to my computer. So basically...
Cable modem ->linkys voip router->wireless router->desktop. all connectted with Ethernet cable. Everything works. Here's the kicker, I notice with this site and firefox. It will load forever. The forum loads, but when you go to each topic in a subforum, it won't load for some reason. I thought it was this site. But I have the same problem with windows live hotmail and firefox. I did a broadband speed test right now. I'm running 14770 download, 1360 upload courtesy of speedtest.net. So it's not the speed. Internet explorer works fine. I have a "good" wireless connection with Windows xp. I thought maybe it was interference from my 2.4 Ghz cordless phone that was within two feet of my wireless router. But my network is also WPA protected and not WEP protected. does anyone think maybe the higher encryption is what doing this? I hate to downgrade to WEP protection instead. But I rather use firefox for this site instead of internet explorer. oh, I'm not using a splitter in my setup. any ideas? Thanks
