My GS300 wipers are acting all weird. They work fine when moving. They go up all the way and down all the way. Problem is when I turn off the wipers they don't slide down into what I call the "park" position. They come almost all the way back down but stop about 3-4 inches from disappearing. I don't wanna start changing nuts if that is not the problem. On the up stroke they come right to the edge of the windshield pillar on the driver's side. That looks great. On the down stroke the go all the way down. It's the park position that is messed up. Suggestions?

Did you something to the wipers?

Had that issue with my Sienna after I changed the wiper motor.

I would try to reposition the wiper blades first. If that doesn't work you may need to remove the the cowl and whole aseembly and figure out how its supposed to be positioned at the park position.

Thank you! I’ve had Lexus since 2001 and didn’t know this. LOL

Take the wiper control box apart and look at the circuit board. If any solder “blobs” look cracked where wires attach use a fine electric soldering iron to “re-melt” them. This was a standard fix on 90’s chev trucks.

Whoops. Just read the Lexus fix.

It's a faulty limit switch in the motor gear housing. Likely has a wiper that has some loose ... Need whole rebuilt assembly. Prolly no parts not available separately ...

Cmon guys. It’s slready answered. My wipers were in winter mode. All I did was push them back down with my hands. Bingo! All is well. Problem wasn’t a problem. It has been solved.

Sorry , you’re going to have to rid of the car. It’s unfixable.

Don't tell my wife. She's thinks a 2000 is too old as it is...
