Windshield washer antifreeze life

Not sure where to post this question. It's about windshield washer antifreeze, but that kind of antifreeze is not a coolant, of course, so here goes.

I inherited a bunch of gallon jugs of good-to-minus-30 windshield washer antifreeze from my now-passed-on father of my fiancée. They must be about 5 years old. One or two look a little purple. The rest look the usual blue colour.

Does this stuff go bad with age and clog up the jets?

i think windshield washer antifreeze is nothing more than the usual plus alcohol. shouldn't go bad.

It's fine. They add dye later, its natural color is nearly clear. The color varies from batch to batch but if you're like me you figure "more blue is more concentrated."

If well capped it should be good. Why not put some in you home freezer to test?

This stuff has a half life of plutonium. Use it up!

I'd look it over, and if you don't see anything out of the ordinary, I'd use it. A couple months ago, I bought a jug from an out-of-the-way convenience store that was obviously dusty and old. When I started pouring the stuff, I noticed what looked like congealed blue chunks of "stuff" floating in the fluid. Not much of it, but enough to catch my attention and make me think. I had already poured in a good bit. I did not notice any functional problem, so probably not a big deal. Still, all things being equal, I'd prefer clean and clear fluid vs. fluid with blue chunks. Again, look it over and decide for yourself.
