I've been running the free version for the last 3 months and so far all is good. I'm not really a techie on all this and am just looking for a good "all in one" with good protection. I used to run trend micro before but they have made some changes that I am not happy with.

So I was just looking to see what the more informed members here had to say about it. Thanks.

I had it installed in Vista Ult., and it slowed it badly. And this is with 2gig DDR2 and Intel Duo2(whatever) 1.8 running at 3ghz...I uninstalled it and a month later ended up buying the 3pack of CounterSpy, which seems to work well on the 3 comps. its on now.

The problem with all this stuff in my mind is, what is it actually doing?

Dittos to what Ed said. My dad's computer is a new HP 1.8 core2duo with 1/gb of ram. Disabled with Defender/One Care thing, installed Counterspy now all the pop-ups are gone. I was amazed at how many common spyware pieces that Defender let through.

I installed 2 more GB for a total of 3GB. His machine is quite healthy now
