The spotweld where hanger is attached to muffler broke and muffler is not supported. would it be possible to JB weld it as I dont have access to a welder.

J B weld is good, but I don't think is is strong enough for a muffler hanger. A muffler shop shouldn't charge very much to weld it, assuming of course it isn't rusted to bad to weld.

JB weld is said to be good for 550F consistently/600 10 min, so depends on the hanger location. I wouldn't worry about the strength, although I'd tie the hanger to the pipe with some kind of cable before application to increase contact surface area/thickness of applied epoxy.

Sounds like a job for CAPTAIN HOSECLAMP. Seriously though, stainless steel worm drive clamps are good for stuff like this. Position, tighten, done, celebrate with beer :-)

That is good stuff, that's what's holding the F-450's muffler up!

It's only a few dollars, so you have nothing to lose except a few minutes of your time and some pocket change

JB Weld is actually a quality epoxy. In the aerospace world, there are better products, but not by as much as you might think.

One thing to keep in mind, all conventional epoxies lose strength as the temperature rises. While JB weld is pretty darn good, it's not capable of exhaust system heat.

Pull into a corner ghetto muffler shop, I can’t see it being more than $20.

I had one weld in a new catalytic converter for my Jeep for $40 last year.

Nip that idea in the bud, it wont work. Got to a garage or muffler shop and have it welded.
