My truck only takes Mercon SP in the transmission. I am forced to buy the Mercon SP from the stealership since they are the only ones making it right now (Motorcraft). Do any of you know if Amsoil has anything planned in the near future for a compatible Mercon SP product?
Will Amsoil come out w/a Mercon SP fluid?

For the most part, AMSOIL dealers find out about the new products when they are introduced. Once in a while, we'll find out a bit before that, but only when things are about ready to go.
Is AMSOIL working on such a product? Probably.
Is there enough marketplace for it at this time?

You can thank the manufacturers for specing these special fluids and for allowing the stealerships to get their cut before we formulators come out with something 1/4 the price.
I just got an email back from Amsoil tech and they basically stated what you just said. They also added that Ford is supposed to come out w/a new transmission fluid sometime this year that will supercede the Mercon SP. My gawd...
